Tallbike Jousting this weekend!

Saturday, may 28 th we are hosting a group ride from Queen Elizabeth park to Strathcona park as part of the West Coast Unvitational courier race, followed by BBQ, jousts and other bike fun. Meet @ q.e. Park between 12 and 1 pm for group ride. Jousting and such goes on from 2-5 @ strathcona park. Courier bands playing a gig later in the evening, also roller sprints, venue TBA. as always, email me if you need more info.

thanks to everyone for coming out a bit earlier yesterday evening to make our 2nd anniversary
as special as could be..we enjoyed some silly games..4 pack relay (cause i was too poor to buy 6 packs) and a couple rounds of mumblipeg..thanks to donald for rockin the bike-b-q..that was really cool of you..a man who's earned those rockers indeed..along with donald, our good friend justin trainwreck was also prospected..so congrats kiddos..keep up the good work...we look forward to the june ride (sat. june 4th) where we will also be taking part in the velopalooza kick-off weekend..representing with dead baby bikes vancouver..we've got some fun things planned..so check back here often for updates..and thanks again to everyone who made yesterday super fun..we weren't sure anyone was gonna show up after the monsoon..so good on ya..<3

Vancouver Celebrates 2 Years of Dead Baby Bikes!

Its been 2yrs now since Megan and Shu brought DeadBaby Bikes to Vancouver!
The family is growing, bikes are happening! 

May 7th we celebrate!

Gather at Strathcona Park Starting at 6pm.  
Party, fun, and foolishness will happen!  Followed by an unbelievably awesome ride!

Last month's ride was fun, short and sweet. The Red Gate was a wicked good time, looking forward to hanging out there again.

Club Ride February 5th - Megan's Birthday!!!

January's ride was awesome, one of the best turnouts yet. Glad to see a lot of familiar faces, and a few new ones.
February's ride is a few days away, here's details:

Meet up at the Princeton Pub, 7:30 PM, Saturday February 5th (on Powell st @ Victoria Drive)

Ride @ 8-8:30 to The Red Gate (we'll take the scenic route if weather permits) for Red Sprint! (head to head roller racing)
Live Music @ red gate 10pm till late: Datura, No L.A. Kill, the Receptionists and Hari Legs.
Cover charge @ the Red Gate is $5 - that's for roller racing and 4 bands, what a Bargain!

It's Megan's Birthday and her band is playing, so don't forget to buy her a beer and reminder that age ain't nothin but a numba! (a big number in her case). It's also a rare occasion to heckle the Heckler, so don't miss out.

New Year's Club Ride and Chapter update

have changed the night of our monthly club rides to the first Saturday of every month, hopefully we will see more out-of-towners with this change. That said, for January we have postponed the ride until January 8th, due to most of our members being out of town for New Years Eve. We will meet up at megan's house @ 7ish with destination TBA. As always, tall bikes and choppers are encouraged, not mandatory. Any inquiries can be directed to Shu.

other club updates (mostly old news):

Arlin is officially a full color member now, congrats to our newest convert, it great to have some new blood in the club. And thanks for putting together the Winter Solstice ride - it was mad fun, and friggin cold! We were all hoping to see the lunar eclipse, but alas, the curse of the northwest prevented it.

Arlo's better half, Caitlin, is our new(ish) prosect. It's great to have her on board. We're all glad for her infusion of style - she's just what we needed to liven things up!

And our newest propsect, Scotty, just got his rockers in December. We're stoked to have him riding with us. The last time I hung out with him, he was slaying it @ the tallbike joust this summer. Definitely Dead Baby material. Just watch out when he gets the roman candles out! Can't wait to see what kind of bike he curates for his club whip.
